Perimeter Drains

Water should not pool against your house. A properly functioning perimeter drainage system will guide water away from your structure. Many older perimeter drainage systems no longer work optimally and require upgrading. Left unchecked, pooling water around your home can lead to foundation failure.

Channel and Slope Drainage Systems

If you have pooling water on your lawn, driveway or fields, sometimes the most efficient solution is a slope or channel drainage system. We can expertly re-grade your land to direct water away from usable areas. Sometimes all that’s required is a minor grade adjustment or ditching to take water away and make your property usable and beautiful again.

Subsurface Drainage System

Sometimes the best solution is to install a subsurface system or ‘French drain’. Subsurface drains are placed beneath the top layer of soil to remove excess water at the root level. Subsurface drains require the digging of ditches and the installation of underground pipes. A large collection drain is installed or sometimes the system can be plumbed into an existing drain pipe.

How much does drainage work cost?

A typical small-scale drainage project will cost $2000-5000. Larger projects such as perimeter drain replacements will require an on-site estimate.

A number of variables can impact the cost of a drainage project including:

  • Accessibility of site

  • Depth of excavation

  • Length of the trench

  • Whether or not there is rock in the work area

  • Proximity to a fill dump site and gravel pit, if required

  • Proximity to structures
